Mondays at Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) means #MedicareForAll. Save the date! Our next Healthcare Human Rights online meeting / conference call will be 9pm ET, 8pm CT, 7pm MT, 6pm PT, on Wednesday November 13th.

This Medicare For All Monday, we at PDA are especially glad that we were ably represented at the recent National Single Payer Strategy Conference in Portland, Oregon—again organized by our terrific coalition partners Healthcare Now! and the Labor Campaign for Single Payer.

Short report: At the conference, we discussed many key areas for our movement including:

– a values-based perspective on messaging,

– a new and vigorous emphasis on the social determinants of health,

– and our collective inoculation from the lies and baseless attacks of those well-known enemies of Healthcare Justice—particularly big insurance and big pharma.

With presentations and workshops from so many champions for the cause as well as a PDA table for networking, we left feeling newly inspired and hopefully ready to inspire many others to join in our efforts.
