Let’s Talk Alligators

to Drain the Swamp
When you’re up to your hip-waders in alligators, it’s hard to remember that your objective is to drain the swamp, as a version of the old saying goes.
One big ol’ orange alligator will be out of power in 23 days. If we work really hard to turn out the Democratic vote in Georgia, then two inside-trading, self-dealing, KKK-friendly alligators (Sens. Loeffler and Perdue) will be out of power in Georgia in early January, and the biggest alligator (Mitch McConnell) in Washington, DC, will be relegated to a smaller pond. It’s a start.
For the record, I like and respect real alligators, and I think most swamp/wetlands are better off undrained to provide natural buffers and much-needed wildlife habitat in the fight against human-made climate change, but the metaphor is solid.
PDA is working methodically on multiple levels to drain that metaphorical swamp, and we need your support to pick off those dratted ‘gators, one by one.
You stepped up, and together we ousted the big orange alligator. Now we need your help in Georgia, and then we need “alligator wranglers” for every congressional district in the country, in the expansion of our Congressional Office Liaison Program. If you’re interested in representing PDA’s support of progressive legislation to your local congressional office fill out this short form.
Help PDA push for real legislative solutions to the multiple crises facing our country, hold elected officials accountable, and put more outspoken progressives in Congress. Your generous gift of $46, $27, $20.21, $10, or $5 makes our work possible.
