Laurie got arrested for voting rights Tuesday. Will you make calls/join a rally?

March, Relay, Rally, Phone, and More

Tuesday outside of the White House, 24 people were arrested in a peaceful sit-in for your and my voting rights.

Included were clergy, a state house Rep., and PDA Florida Southeast Regional Coordinator Laurie Woodward-Garcia.

It’s time for all to honor that level of commitment by doing everything we can, as it’s likely that the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act will be brought up for procedural votes today.

So first, call your Senators right now to tell them they must pass these two bills.  Please let us know if you do.

Second, from today through Friday, Oct. 22, there will be a relay and multiple press events through West Virginia and Maryland, ending with a massive rally in DC on Saturday, the 23rd.

If you’re interested in participating in the relay from WV to DC, the DC event, or an event in your area, let us know and we’ll get you all you need to make it happen.  Buses available from several locations.

Can’t get in the street?  Help the phone team make sure our folks along the relay know how to connect with easy calls from home.

Can’t volunteer?  Then please toss in all you can to help make sure we have the resources to win this battle.

The late John Lewis never quit. Neither can we. Let’s bring this home for all.

WHY did you get arrested? We are not allowed to exercise our 1st Amendment Right to peacefully protest but they use it for insurrectionists rallies?
    Seems twisted.
I expected more from this administration
