Kellogg’s Workers Won! Step 2 in solidarity.

Dec 23, 2021 | PDA News

In solidarity,
Mike Fox for the PDA National Team

First We Boycott, Then We Buy

We at PDA were proud to stand with striking Kellogg’s cereal workers and call for a boycott of all Kellogg’s cereal products until our brothers and sisters got a contract they could approve.

Well, it’s great to see that their courageous months-long stand brought them a contract that is far better than the one the company had presented and that they could agree to accept.

Now it’s time for us to once again show solidarity with those workers by demonstrating to Kellogg’s management that we support companies that listen to their workers.

Option 1: Please purchase at least one Kellogg’s cereal product, take a selfie with the box(es), post to their twitter account and tag @pdamerica and/or email it to us and we’ll toss it around on social media for you.

Option 2: Purchase at least one of Kellogg’s cereal products and donate it/them to your local food bank. Again, get pics and post to the Kellogg’s twitter account and tag with @pdamerica and/or email to us

Our goal here is to show that if corporations do not work with strikers, they could be be faced with a boycott, but when the union wins its victory, we will show our appreciation, as well.  By doing so we tell them that not only will they feel a pinch if they don’t listen to their workers, but they’ll also see a boom if they do, thus making it all the more attractive to them to hear their workers from the outset of negotiations.

We hope to limit the need for future strikes at all union shops with this strategy.

To help us prevent the need for future strikes, and to support strikers when they do, donate all you can here.

Thanks so much for anything you can do.
