These are perilous days, but in troubled times it is important to hold onto and elevate that which we love most. Nothing speaks to that more than honoring our mothers and everyone’s mothers—the people who gave us life and raised us with love and caring.

Our democracy needs such nurturing these days—and we should never lose sight of the reactionary patriarchy at the heart of the Trumpian reaction—that seeks to trample on decades of gains by American women and women around the world.

So, this Sunday we will introduce the PDA family to the latest, exceptional woman candidate for Congress that we have endorsed: Tekesha Martinez in Maryland’s open 6th Congressional District. The election in Maryland is on this upcoming Tuesday.

We will also take a closer look at the threat represented by Donald Trump by reviewing Project 2025, a far right blueprint for America. The MAGA movement wants to implement Project 2025 in a second Trump Administration. We’re working to make sure that never happens.
