Join PDA’s New Climate Liason Program
Alan Minsky for the PDA National Team
PDA is launching its congressional Climate Liaison Program in partnership with Food & Water Watch this Wednesday, July 21, at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
Please sign up here for tomorrow’s meeting.
Climate Change is one of the biggest challenges of our time. As devastating fires, floods, and unprecedented heat waves bring the effects of climate change home to our communities, it is critical now more than ever that we push our government to take action to address this crisis in a comprehensive and powerful way. We need a Green New Deal and a Just Transition that will create millions of jobs, transform our infrastructure, develop clean and renewable energy sources, heal our environments, and ensure environmental justice for Black, Indigenous, and marginalized communities that will bear the brunt of climate change effects.
PDA is excited to launch our new Climate Liaison Program, in partnership with Food & Water Watch. This program mirrors our current Congressional Liaison Program with a specific focus on the climate emergency, mobilizing citizen power to hold our elected representatives accountable on climate policy, and to encourage the passage of critical progressive climate legislation that will make the Green New Deal a reality and ensure a livable future for the coming generations.
Together, we can push back against the fossil fuel industry, and advocate for green jobs, infrastructure, and environmental justice. Join us, and we can create an unstoppable grassroots force to fight for people and the planet.
We invite you to join us at an introductory meeting for the Climate Liaison Program, where you can meet the national team and hear more about this exciting new initiative!
