Jamaal Bowman, AIPAC and how big money destroys democracy
Join us this Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT when we’ll focus on Jamaal Bowman’s re-election campaign in NY-16, two days before the primary. The implications of this race for U.S. foreign policy, the future of our democracy, and the progressive movement are massive.

As anticipated, the Democratic primary in New York’s 16th district between the PDA-endorsed incumbent Jamaal Bowman and “moderate” Democrat George Latimer has become the most expensive primary race for the U.S. House of Representatives in American history with over $23 million spent as of the top of last week.
Even though Bowman has done well raising funds, the vast majority of this money has come from major donors via two reactionary groups: AIPAC and a pro crypto-currency super PAC, both flooding the district with pro-Latimer and anti-Bowman ads and (mis)information.
Join us this Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT when we will be both discussing the significance of this latest example of how big money is corrupting our democracy, and mobilizing to defeat it on Tuesday, because there remains one proven way to win elections—even against unprecedented spending—and that’s grassroots mobilization!
We’ll also have an exciting update on PDA’s plans for our Progressive Central conference in Chicago—and a follow-up report (with great news!) on one of the youth-led pro-environmental lawsuits that we featured in a previous Town Hall.
See you on Sunday. RSVP Now!
In solidarity,
The PDA National Team
