Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) endorses candidates who champion our fundamental progressive policies and values—Medicare For All, stopping Global Warming, ending wars and occupations, economic and social justice. Today is Super Tuesday, a referendum on our principles in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia—the states that are holding their presidential primaries.

PDA endorsed Bernie Sanders for President—please vote for Bernie if your state is voting today. Yesterday, we asked people in California to vote for our endorsed candidates there. Today, we’re asking you to vote for two great Texans if you can, and donate to their campaigns if you can’t: Jessica Cisneros and Mike Siegel.

Money Tight? Volunteer to Elect Progressives

Jessica is a 26 year-old activist who has been a staunch advocate for her South Texas community her entire adulthood. Her campaign website explains, “As the daughter of Mexican immigrants and a human rights lawyer, Jessica is fighting to build an America for all of us—no matter who we are, or where we come from.”

In 2018, Mike nearly pulled off one of the upsets of the year, barely losing to Republican incumbent Michael McCaul in Texas’ 10th district. That district runs from Austin to Houston. Mike is a true progressive facing off against two moderate Democrats in today’s primary.

Jessica is running to represent Texas’ 28th District as an unapologetic progressive against Henry Cuellar, perhaps the most conservative Democrat in Congress. Jessica is for Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and tuition-free public college. She’s pro-labor, supports a pathway to citizenship, and opposes the NRA. Most of all, she will help progressives repair the damage the Trumpublicans cause—as opposed to Democrats in Name Only (DINOs), like her opponent: Henry Cuellar.

Mike is running to represent Texas’ 10th District. His primary opponents fall far short on our issues, while Mike is a proven vote-winner. In 2018, Incumbent Michael McCaul narrowly defeated Mike 51% to 47%. With our help and demographic trends in Texas, Mike can close that gap and win this November.
