It’s Spring: Time for Celebration and Rededication
Renew Your Commitment to PDA:
Become A Monthly Sustainer Today
As spring slowly transforms the Northern Hemisphere with thawing ice, budding trees and grasses, migrating birds, animals of all sorts—both wild and domestic—starting families, and humans commencing the annual cycle of planting and harvest, people of faith are celebrating holy days of Easter, Passover, and Ramadan.
The recurring themes that permeate these celebrations of faith are messages of sacrifice, redemption, renewal, and a recommitment of principles. Endurance of life, faith, and community is evident in traditional signs of spring as well as the resilience and determination of cleanup and rebuilding in the aftermath of destructive spring storms.
At PDA, our work is both seasonal and continual. Elections are cyclical, legislation deadlines and votes have a somewhat rhythmic pattern, but educating voters and lawmakers and holding elected officials accountable is our year-round job.
And we do that job 24/7, 365 days per year. We pause from time to time to celebrate victories like the election of progressives last week in Chicago and Wisconsin, but then we get right back to work, urging passage of critical legislation, sane policy decisions from elected officials, and a fair shake for communities around the nation.
Our work—and our success—depend on your support, both through volunteering and donations. Please support PDA with a monthly gift to keep our seasonal and continual efforts moving toward progressive victories for all.
In solidarity,
Debra Schrishuhn for the PDA National Team
