Become a Gun Safety Sustainer!

Yesterday, Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) joined student-led March For Our Lives actions across the USA. If you are among the PDA sustainers who witnessed one of the March for Our Lives events yesterday, I know you saw the kind of agitated awareness and clarity that has been so lacking in our political discourse around gun violence and around almost every issue facing this nation.

Help PDA End Gun Violence

With laser-like precision, the young people who organized the marches are making the direct connection between potential for changing gun laws and voting in those who will support change while most definitely voting out those who do not. Clearly, voting matters.

We have a duty to these students and to our children. We must do our part by making sure we get the best candidates to the ballot and then getting those people elected in November. The mid-terms cannot and must not be left to chance or some reliance on the continuing Trumpublican dysfunction to drive voters to the polls.

I am a PDA sustainer, and I have been since 2007 in both the good times and the bad. Now PDA needs all of us to step up our efforts—even those who already give. These are extraordinary times.  If we are to win races for and with our strong progressive candidates in the mid-terms, we must stand together and give together in extraordinary ways.

In honor of the 17 people who died in Parkland, FL, on Valentine’s Day, I am raising my own “Change Makes Change” partner monthly gift by $17. If each of us who are sustainers would do the same and those who are not yet sustainers would become so, PDA will be better able to expend its resources in support of power-filled progressives on their way to Congress. $17 a month is only approximately 55 cents per day.
