The rule of law, women’s bodily autonomy, the right to vote, the climate crisis, LGBTQ+ rights…the list goes on. We are on track to lose them all.

Let’s face it: extreme right-wing authoritarianism is still on the rise in America, even without Trump in office. And the Democratic establishment is enabling the erosion of democracy by tolerating short-sighted policies, failing to protect fundamental rights, and supporting reactionary candidates over fresh progressive voices.

Senators Manchin and Sinema are helping block any Senate action by supporting the antiquated filibuster rule. Manchin and Henry Cuellar (TX-28) both oppose codifying Roe v. Wade into law. Shontel Brown hypocritically joined both the centrist, pro-business New Democrat Coalition and the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC). Inexplicably, the CPC endorsed Brown over Nina Turner in the recent Ohio primary, and centrist and corporatist PACs poured millions into the race at the last minute to smear and defeat progressive champion Nina Turner.

Now these forces are spending millions to prevent progressive victories in races across the nation, including Jessica Cisnero’s challenge to anti-choice Rep. Henry Cuellar in Texas.

We know we cannot match their financial clout, but we can—we must—out-organize them. Help us win progressive victories Tuesday by phonebanking from your home, and by giving PDA the resources to Get Out The Vote for our candidates with May primaries, including Jessica Cisneros (TX-28), Summer Lee (PA-12), Erica Smith (NC-01), Nida Allam (NC-04), Doyle Canning (OR-04), Jamie McLeod-Skinner (OR-05), Vincent Fort (GA-13), and so many others this cycle.

Give PDA the resources we need to lift our progressive candidates over the finish line. Your monthly donation today—$27, $12, $5, or $2,70—is key to our electoral victories in the coming weeks and months. The outcome of these elections will determine the direction of the country in the foreseeable future. Please give what you can today.
