PDA founder Tim Carpenter loved to attend this meeting. The last time he did attend the national annual Single Payer Strategy Conference before he died in 2014 was the meeting in the fall of 2013 which was held in Nashville TN, where he was honored as he was in many venues that year with a lifetime achievement award. One of his heroes, Marilyn Clement had been similarly honored prior to her passing just a couple of years before that.
The Single Payer Strategy Conference, principally organized by the national organizations Healthcare-Now!, the Labor Campaign for Single Payer, and the One Payer States group, and co-sponsored by many other groups including National Nurses United and PDA, carries on the work of Tim and Marilyn just as PDA does, and it’s scheduled date this year is just around the corner. In fact, the deadline for reduced rate hotel accommodations is this Friday, June 1st .
First, click here for details and to register. Then then click here for the discounted room rates using the promotional code SPSC18. Enter the dates of your stay and click “Go”. Or call 612-339-4900 and reference the “Single Payer Strategy Conference” group to book your room at our reduced rate.
If you’d like to be matched with someone who wants to share a room, fill out a Roommate Match request. Even if you’d like to be matched with a roommate, go ahead and book a room – you can always cancel up to 3 days before the event.
Can’t make the event but want to help us make it a success? We want to send Donna Smith and Dr. Bill to the conference. Please click here to help them both get there, and hopefully provide stipends for a few hard working volunteers as well.
Thanks so much for anything you can do right now.
Onward to healthcare for all!
