Help Us Support Our Awesome Nationally-Endorsed Senate Candidates
While most of the buzz this election cycle has been about presidential candidates — and we must defeat Trump in November — we’re not only going to need a healthy increase in the number of progressives in Congress, but our push in their districts will also help drive out vote for the top of the ticket in the process.
Even conservative columnist George Will wrote of Trump’s sycophants, “Voters must dispatch his congressional enablers, especially the senators who still gambol around his ankles with a canine hunger for petting.”*
Just like we did with Marie Newman in IL-03 and Kara Eastman in NE-02, we must do all we can to make sure these great progressives win over less progressive opponents in their rapidly approaching primaries.
Paula Jean Swearengin is a coal miner’s daughter who lost her grandfather to black lung and has two uncles currently diagnosed. She’s seen mountains and streams devastated by pollution, so she knows the death and destruction that burning coal reaps. She’s willing to fight for West Virginia’s people first, not coal companies, which has been the standard in West Virginia for years. She’s committed to fighting for a prosperous, green West Virginia for all, and that includes expanded and improved Medicare For All.
Before she beats the incumbent Trump Republican who currently holds the seat, she must win a primary June 9th. Donate or volunteer now.
Join us for our exclusive PDA Virtual Town Hall with Paula Jean on Wednesday, June 3 at 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific. RSVP here for videoconference/call in details.
Andrew Romanoff won four terms in the Colorado House of Representatives—including two terms as speaker of the House—and led the Democrats to their first majority in 30 years. He earned recognition from more than 50 state and national organizations as one of the most effective legislative leaders in America.
Andrew will bring an extraordinary record of leadership to the U.S. Senate. As president and CEO of Mental Health Colorado, Andrew led the fight for the prevention and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. Among the results: pathbreaking programs for children and families and $68 million per year in life-saving services for Coloradans in need. He’s for Medicare For All, the Green new deal, and scored 100% on our questionnaire. He has a primary against DINO John Hickenlooper on June 30. Donate or volunteer now.
