Help Us Hit The Magic 100 Today!

I first got involved with PDA in 2006 while I was running a congressional campaign in Florida. Our campaign was a classic progressive grass roots one. While we became the first federal campaign in the history of the county to get onto the ballot via petition (everyone had always bought their way on the ballot with a $10K check), we didn’t have much money or attention from national organizations.

But I’ll never forget the day I was driving a car load of volunteer walkers to our meetup spot in the August Florida sun and the name Tim Carpenter showed on my cel phone’s caller ID. PDA’s founder said he was excited that PDA had just endorsed our campaign, and that a check would be coming to help buy a bunch of materials and pizza for our volunteer field crew. You had might as well have just told me Superman was going to swing by and knock some doors with us.

The spirit of community and the passion for making the world a better place that Tim exuded every day drew me into PDA, where I soon became the volunteer Florida State Coordinator, and from there I moved to staff a few years later.

Today I’m so proud to say I’m Executive Director of this organization, and equally proud to say that I’m a monthly Change Makes Change donor. At PDA we don’t take big fat checks from corporations. We don’t hang out at the club with billionaires. We have each other in this endeavor. And we count on progressive patriots like you to keep the lights on.

Pitch In To Help Us Hit The Magic 100

I’m trying to bring on 100 new Change Makes Change partners today, to help us fund our nation-wide field operation. We need materials, we need a couple more staffers, and we need to be able to offer some gas money and pizza to help our hard working volunteers running at full speed and capacity. If we’re going to defeat TrumpCo we’re going to have to have the resources to do so.

While we have a handful of kind angels who give $100 or more per month, any amount is greatly appreciated, and will be judiciously invested. No private jets or limos here at PDA. If you can do $5 a month, great! $10? Wonderful! $25? Spectacular! Whatever is good for you is great for us.
