For countless Americans, getting sick or hurt means losing our job, and losing our employer-based health insurance. Countless others face hardship due to sky-rocketing medical bills—the number one cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.A., but unheard of in other wealthy nations.

The victims include millions of uninsured people, as well as millions of others who have insurance, but can’t afford ever-increasing copays, deductibles, and fees, despite paying ever-rising premiums.
