Don’t Travel — Join Our Healthcare Emergency Town Hall Sunday!

Who at your Thanksgiving family zoom meeting will agree with Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) that what we need now is a “government-run healthcare plan” or #MedicareForAll? And, especially now that the fall/winter surge of #COVID19 is upon us? Well, according to the now well-known Fox News exit poll that followed the November 3rd elections, it’s likely to be about 70 percent or more of those attendees.
Hard to believe? Not really, when you figure that during this pandemic Big Insurance and Big Pharma have clearly done well for themselves, while leaving the rest of us woefully behind, or sick, or even dead.
And clearly, the voters have also spoken: all of those U.S. House cosponsors on the Jayapal/Dingell National Medicare For All Bill #HR1384 who ran in the general election were re-elected. That’s right, all of them, even ones from swing districts like Rep. Katie Porter, CA-45, whose district, despite a changing demographic in Orange County, CA, still had more registered Republicans than Democrats at the time of her re-election victory.
So, the message is clear. Don’t travel this upcoming holiday weekend, but do bring up #MedicareForAll in your family gatherings, whether they are of the safe physical or virtual variety. And do bring up PDA and all of the great opportunities to volunteer or donate so we can elect even more champions for the cause of life, freedom from illness, and #HealthcareJustice for All.
Finally, join our virtual meeting to learn more about staying safe during this pandemic, and campaigns you can get involved with that will make a real difference.
