Today is April Fool’s Day, but Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) is not fooled by inferior alternatives to Medicare For All (MFA). Now that we’re closer than ever to enacting MFA—with more than 100 cosponsors, first-ever hearings coming up, and overwhelming popular support—corporatists are trying to fool elected officials, the media, and the general public. Don’t let them be fooled by “Medicare For Some,” “Public Option” or various buy-in proposals.

Alternative proposals all pay our tax money to insurance companies which deny care, create additional delays, paperwork, and expenses, but don’t provide any healthcare. These imitations all cost more and do less than Medicare For All. Make sure your Representative and contacts know that only the Jayapal/Dingell Medicare For All Act (H.R. 1384) will guarantee all necessary medical care to all Americans! While other organizations supported less progressive, less effective alternatives, PDA kept Medicare For All front and center.
