CLIMATE
At PDA we understand that the climate emergency is the existential threat of our time. Although we rarely agree with the Pentagon, we applaud their assessment that climate change is the single most dangerous threat to global stability and our national security. We support a WWII-style ramping up of focus and resources to bring about a fossil fuel-free energy system and sustainable manufacturing practices that will generate good-paying jobs as a result.
Recognizing that communities of color and the poor are disproportionately hurt by pollution inherent to our current reliance on fossil fuels and other sources of pollution, we demand that any path forward must address these issues of environmental justice at every turn.
We believe that together we can develop new technologies and approaches to consumption and biodegradable and recyclable materials that will provide a high standard of living for all, while protecting our most valued resources: our earth and our diverse ecosystem.
