Today’s the day! The historic Senate confirmation hearings for Secretary of the Interior nominee Deb Haaland begin.

Deb Haaland is an exceptional choice to be the Interior Secretary and hence she is facing fierce opposition from GOP Senators and the fossil fuel lobby.

Deb Haaland will be the first Indigenous leader of the Federal Department that includes the Bureau of Indian Affairs.  She is also an environmentalist and a progressive.
