The Senate has now taken faltering bipartisan steps toward making a future plot more difficult to implement by introducing the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act (with 9 Republican cosponsors) and the Enhanced Election Security and Protection Act (with 5 Republican cosponsors). Neither bill will pass without 10 Republican votes.
