This is important because of the precarious situation endangering young people who have been covered under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Hundreds of thousands of ‘Dreamers’ are facing deportation. Millions of heartbroken parents and entire families will have their lives upended, and we will all lose the enormous benefits from having hard-working and energetic young people as part of our communities and nation. Dreamers pay taxes and contribute in other ways to their communities. We all benefit from their inclusion in the fabric of our society. Our communities will be harmed by the divisions, distrust of government, and loss of revenue that ending DACA will cause.
