Call the White House Today: Demand a “No First Nuclear Strike” Policy

Eight simple words: “Please Declare a Policy of No First Use.” Call and Email Today

In the age of a climate emergency, a global pandemic, and Trump’s offensive against U.S. democracy, it can be easy to forget that thermonuclear war remains a dire threat to humanity. With weapons systems remaining on hyperalert, we’re only a hair trigger away from annihilation.

As the country with the world’s most sophisticated nuclear arsenal, the United States needs to take an essential step towards de-escalation by officially adopting a No First Use Policy. Before becoming President Joe Biden supported No First Use, but has failed to make a declaration since becoming President.

So, today and tomorrow, we are asking all PDA supporters to call the White House at 202-456-1111 between 11am and 3pm ET / 8am and Noon PT (the four hours when you can speak with a live person) and deliver this simple eight word message: Please Declare a Policy of No First Use.

After you hang up the phone, take another couple of minutes and write those eight words to President Biden on this webpage: Contact Us | The White House.

Once you’ve done so, please let us know.

PDA stands for peace 24/7/365. Please support our efforts for global cooperation, and a sane, humane foreign policy.

Thanks so much for anything you can do.
