Call Now re: Huge Action In The Halls Of Congress for Climate Emergency Tues. And Wed.

Sep 24, 2019

In solidarity with a sustainable tomorrow,  Mike Fox for Alan, Dan, Janis, Deb, Dr. Bill, Kimberly, Bryan, Shayna, and Mike H.—your PDA national team.

As part of an international, national and local organization coalition that includes Food And Water Watch, The Climate Mobilization, The Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign, and more, PDA activists are hitting the hill in Washington, DC to Educate Congress in what looks like it will be the single largest 2 days of hill outreach we’ve had in PDA’s 15 year history.

Folks have traveled in from as far away as Los Angeles to participate in our support for the revolutionary Climate Emergency Concurrent Resolution from Reps. Blumenauer and Ocastio-Cortez, and Sen. Sanders.

There are two things you can do to help right now.

1) Go here to see if your House Rep. is on H.Con.Res 52 and here to see if your Senator is on S. Con. Res. 22.  If so, call and thank them.  If not, call and ask for their support.  Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121.  Let us know if you call so we can track total dials.

2) Help us cover travel stipends for our road warriors with a contribution now.

There is huge momentum within the grass roots right now — from Climate Strike marches, to rallies and even people risking arrest in non-violent civil disobedience —  all to bring attention to the Emergency and demand action to address this existential threat facing every person on the planet.

Please do all you can right now to help.

PS:  If you’re in the greater DC area or have friends there and would like to join the crew on the hill, let us know and we’ll pass on details!
