As I type this, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, Barbara Arnwine, PDA activists State Senator Martin Quezada, Issa O’Neal, Ken Kenegos and others, and faith leaders and other members of a huge coalition in AZ are being taken to jail in zip ties for engaging in a peaceful sit in at Senator Sinema’s Phoenix office.  Over 30 are being arrested, and over 300 participated in the rally and march.

They’re standing in solidarity with the time-honored tradition of John Lewis, Dr. King, and our own Dan O’Neal who has been arrested multiple times for peacefully sitting in for what he believes in.

Please support their efforts to get voting rights protected against the draconian voter suppression laws being passed in Arizona, Florida, and states across the nation.

Voting rights for all of us are in peril, and we desperately need the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Expansion Act, and more to secure the rights all should have in a functioning democracy.

The only way we stop the stonewalling in the Senate is if we end the filibuster, NOW.

Stand with us along with the Poor People’s Campaign, Progress Arizona, and the over 40 Arizona political and church groups as we call for voting rights for all!

Please donate now and/or volunteer to take a hard stand where you live.
