COVID19Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) Healthcare Human Rights Issue Team continues in our concern that the ability for all to remain healthy who live here, in this the wealthiest country on earth, can only come about by passing and implementing #SinglePayer expanded and improved #MedicareForAll. Challenges to that health security for all may come in the form of pandemics, traumatic weather, poverty, racism, or misbegotten public pronouncements.

Nonetheless, we are confident that such a system will be put into place, and that it’s not a matter of if, but when. And, we need it be soon enough to prevent even more loss of life from #COVID19 -like novel infections, heat-related illnesses, opioid overdoses, gun violence, or back-alley abortions. We believe that all life on this earth is precious, and the ability of the earth to produce that life needs to be preserved as well.

Join us this Sunday for another in our series of weekly PDA Healthcare Emergency Online Town Hall Meetings Oct 3 4pm Eastern / 1pm Pacific, as this week we welcome special guest presenter Dr. Rachel Madley, Ph.D., the new Lead Health Policy Advisor and Legislative Assistant to Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-WA. Dr. Madley will update us on the status of our attempts to expand and improve Medicare in the recent budget deals in Congress, and the prospects for re-focusing on H.R.1976, the National Medicare for All Act and similar legislation expected to be re-introduced soon in the Senate.

Then sign up to volunteer for other healthcare projects and/or donate as well if you are able.
