Progressive Democrats of America was founded to stop global warming and protect public lands. Every day, climate change denier Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is in office, he works to destroy our public lands and waters at the expense of our communities. Fourteen federal investigations are exposing Zinke’s decision-making, misuse of funds, and potential corruption. Mark has been outspoken on environmental issues, especially opposing expansion of fossil fuel extraction by hydraulic fracturing (fracking). He is a member of the Safe Climate Caucus, united in the understanding that climate change is the moral issue of our time. Mark understands the value and urgency of protecting our public lands, entrusted not just to today’s society, but to future generations of Americans.

The short-term solution is our call for Ryan Zinke to be fired. Our next task—and it is a huge one—is to get more progressives elected to Congress to push back on this administration’s drive to deregulate and destroy the agencies that protect our land, air, and water.
