Peace to the world. This is Reverend Yearwood. First and foremost, I come to you today at a time in our country, and our world, when freedom fighters are needed now more than ever. All my life I've been defining the freedom fighter as one that will fight on the side of the oppressed, the depressed, and sometimes, the stressed. But today I come to you because it's time to move from just speaking truth to power, to having power.
You know, I define power as "the achievement of purpose." And together, we can unify under the one banner, to fight for this country – and fight for this world! We can come together as people who are black or white or Asian or Latino – or whatever – and begin to fight together under one banner.
I've said numerous times that I believe that the Progressive Democrats of America are the New Rainbow Coalition, because they are looking to bring everybody together to fight against tyranny and oppression. But we can only do that with your help. So I ask you today not only to join us, but to support us.
Be with us in this struggle called Freedom. We can do it together. We must be concerned about the millions – no, the billions of people who are suffering under the oppressive nature of a tyrannical government. But we can do it together. We can do it together. And we need your help.
So today I ask you to join me, and join us, as we continue to be freedom fighters – not only for America, but for the world. And unlike so many others who just say "God bless America," we say "God bless everyone."
