Nevada State NewsVol. 2, No. 2--March 19, 2005We here in Vegas with the Nevada Progressive Democratic Caucus sponsored an evening with Harvey Wasserman on March 2. Mr. Wasserman was in town to attend and speak at an alternative energy conference. We have been working with a the National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression and the Coalition to Prevent the Erosion of Human Rights to present our city council with a resolution against the Patriot Act. We are hoping to join the over 300 cities and four states that have already taken this action. We are also working with various peace and human rights groups demonstrating peaceful actions against war and vigils for the dead on March 19, the second anniversary of the Iraq invasion.
