Massachusetts State News

Vol. 2, No. 2--March 19, 2005

People in eastern and western Massachusetts have been meeting regularly to talk about forming PDA chapters and about coalition building among progressives here. There is a wonderful sense of energy, hope, and purpose. One immediate focus is the Democratic Party convention in Massachusetts on May 14, where, with progressive allies, we are trying to advance progressive planks in relation to election fraud and election rights, peace, social security, America's place in the world, universal health care, and equal rights. We are also planning a progressive "Summit" in MA before the convention, seeking a common language, and discussing how to build our base and gain access to the "corridors of power."
