Vol. 2, No. 1--Pre-Summit, January 2005

The Washington State Caucus has been initiated by members of the 46th Legislative district (Seattle area). In our most recent district reorganization meeting, our membership took 7 of the 18 elected offices.

We will host our first forum on January 30th with the theme: "A Call to Action." Representative Jim McDermott and two panel members will speak on issues of interest to the Progressive Community. This will be followed by smaller group discussions to initiate action plans for the upcoming months.

Editor's Note: After two machine counts and a statewide hand recount, Democrat Christine Gregoire has been sworn in as Washington state's governor--winning by just 129 votes!
