Nominations to PDA Policy Board Sought

Vol. 2, No. 1--Pre-Summit, January 2005

Progressive Democrats of America is committed to a positive and transformative vision for America. To further these ends, the PDA Executive Board and senior staff seek to establish a Policy Board. The PDA Policy Board's principle function, in active dialogue with PDA grassroots forums and state chapters, is to develop and articulate the social, tactical, and ideological positions that inform and drive PDA organizational, electoral, and legislative strategies at both the national and local levels.

The PDA Policy Board-Building Committee is now actively seeking the names of people, including your own, who you feel would be inspired and effective members of the PDA Public Policy Board and of Public Policy Board issue specific subcommittees, including but not limited to overall strategic considerations, labor/minimum wage/outsourcing, youth, civil rights, race and ethnicity, glbt, women's rights/reproductive choice, voting reform/campaign finance/IRV, prison issues/drug wars/death penalty, peace, ecology, health care/aids, spirituality/values, death penalty, specific legislative initiatives, farming, rural communities, education, etc.)

All nominations must be received by February 1, 2005.
