Progressive Democratic Summit Update

Vol. 1, No. 6--December 23, 2004

PDA is looking forward to an exciting and historically significant Progressive Democratic Summit meeting in Washington DC, from January 21-23, 2005. Literally dozens of nationally recognized and respected progressive activists are scheduled to speak at the Summit, including Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), Amy Goodman, Medea Benjamin (Code Pink/Global Exchange), Tom Hayden, Rev. Lennox Yearwood (Hip Hop Caucus), Attorney John Bonifaz, James Zogby, and William Rivers Pitt (www.truthout.org). In addition to speakers, panel discussions, and workshops, there will be ample opportunity to meet with other Progressive Democratic activists in state and regional plenary and working sessions. Together we will advance our understanding of the elements necessary to implement a workable strategy for taking back our country!
