Vol. 1, No. 6--December 23, 2004

On Tuesday, December 7, 2004, the Board of Directors of the Michigan Democratic Party Justice Caucus (the progressive caucus) voted unanimously to affiliate with Progressive Democrats of America. We will meet the affiliation requirements by placing a link to the PDA website on the Justice Caucus website and request you do the same by placing the Justice Caucus link as the Michigan caucus link on your website.

We already have a PAC under Michigan State law and file the appropriate campaign finance reports with the Michigan Secretary of State and the information returns with the IRS. Because of increasing interest in our caucus in the upcoming reelection campaign for U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, D-Michigan, we are considering FEC registration. If we do so we will, of course, let you know.

We are looking forward to creative collaboration. We will try to get some folks together to attend the PDA conference in D.C. in January.
