Delaware State NewsVol. 1, No. 5--December 4, 2004We have a formative progressives' meeting scheduled to take place on December 11th in Newark, Delaware. Individuals confirming their plan to attend represent a diverse group including Dean Democrats, Kucinich Democrats, a Kerry Democrat, Green Party members, and a few "independent progressives" as well as people from a local anti-war/peace group. Our meeting on December 11th will follow the theme--a call for unity and formation of a collective identity, as well as development of an enduring solidarity, not only among ourselves in Delaware but with fellow progressives all across the nation toward building a uniform national movement. "Moving forward" necessitates finding common ground and holding on to it, which is best achieved by putting aside differences; we all share common issues and values. Now we have the exciting opportunity to join with others across the country to plan and act together toward our common objective! Phil Pollner, M.D. |
