Alan Grayson Wins PDA National Endorsement

Written by  Mike Fox | PDA National Team

In typical "let's get it done" fashion, PDA members on the ground in Florida rallied to insure that Alan Grayson would be considered for national endorsement.  In record time they formed a functioning local chapter and held the vote, allowing Florida state wide to likewise push forward in record time -- and via unanimous vote -- to recommend Alan for national consideration.

On the largest conference call we've ever had in PDA's history, Alan wowed the attendees with not only his positions on the issues and grasp of grassroots campaigning, but also with stories of his upbringing that included him being a sick child who regularly needed treatments, and if it weren't for his two union member parents who had health care, he doesn't know what would have happened.
From prosecuting war profiteers, to getting a bill passed to audit the fed, to calling for single payer healthcare for all, Alan Grayson is the consummate Healthcare Not Warfare, 99% candidate.
And proof of this?  He was designated "Target #1" in 2010, as over $5million of 1% money flowed into his district in the form of Swift Boat ads.  As a result, Alan lost his seat in the 2010 tsunami.
But in typical Grayson fashion, he didn't let that stop him.  He got knocked down in 2010, but most certainly not out.  He's back with even more fire in his belly, and more love in his heart for his community than ever before.
And we're looking forward to putting him back to work for us in Washington.
