Three More Candidates Earn PDA National Endorsements

March 10, 2008, Washington, DC

PDA, in a nation-wide media release, announced the endorsements of three Democratic progressive candidates for Congress:

• Steve Harrison in New York's 13th Congressional District
• Vickie Butcher in California's 52nd Congressional District
• Steve Young in California's 48th Congressional District

These endorsements follow the announcement on February 1 and January 16, 2008 of these candidates:

• Ed O'Reilly for Senate in Massachusetts
• Dr. Mahdi Ibn-Ziyad in New Jersey's 1st Congressional District (Camden)
• Dr. Bill Durston in California's 3rd Congressional District (Sacramento)
• Donna Edwards in Maryland's 4th CD (Prince George's County)
• Corbett Kroehler in Florida's 8th CD (Orlando)
• John Laesch in Illinois' 14th CD (Dennis Hastert's district near Chicago)
• Randi Scheurer in Illinois' 8th CD (north of Chicago)
• Samm Simpson in Florida's 10th CD (Pinellas County)
• Clint Curtis in Florida's 24th CD (Orlando)

Each candidate received their endorsement after following the PDA endorsement policy, which begins with a local chapter endorsement. Opportunities are available to help elect these candidates; contact Diane@pdamerica.org to get involved with any of these campaigns.
