Ohio Blitz

PDA Executive Director Tim Carpenter will join activists in a five-day Northeast Ohio blitz from Wednesday, March 22nd to Sunday, March 26th. He'll meet local groups and appear on Ohio radio advocating: Ending the occupation of Iraq, holding the Bush/Cheney administration accountable by censure/impeachment proceedings, and winning elections to end one-party rule in Ohio and across the USA. PDA National Board Chair Mimi Kennedy ("Dharma's Mom") and Cindy Sheehan, Gold Star "Peace Mom" and PDA Board Member, will join Tim. Cindy will speak March 25th (Cleveland) and 26th (Akron).

March 25th in Cleveland, Cindy Sheehan and Tim Carpenter will lead a panel of local Ohio peace activists, labor leaders, and clergy speaking out against the Iraq war and discuss necessary steps to end the occupation and to stop wasting human lives and resources. March 26th in Akron, Summit County Progressive Democrats—a chapter of PDA— will unite activists, grassroots organizations, and Democrat Party leadership in unprecedented coalition building to win back Ohio for the people of Ohio. New Ohio Democratic Party Chair Chris Redfern; Regional Field Director Steve Chaffin; Democracy for America Ohio Organizer Marian Harris; America Votes State Director Scott Nunnery; Blue 88 Director Chris Glaros; Jane Buder Shapiro of Ohioans for Democratic Values;and SCPD's Mary Nichols Rhodes will participate.
