Meals and Music

The Department of Peace will host the Saturday morning continental breakfast.

Local folk singer and guitarist, Ted Warmbrand, will entertain at lunch.

CODE PINK Phoenix will host the afternoon snack featuring a Pink Lemonade Stand!

Mary Redhouse, a member of the Navajo (Dine') tribe from Arizona, will sing traditional songs and perform Native American flute music.

Saturday Evening, February 12, 2005

The Saturday evening "Progressive Informal Dinner" will be held at MonOrchid, a local art gallery a short walk from the primary venue. The gallery will be featuring an exhibit called "Warlike People." Many of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. Dinner and drinks will be served at the gallery.

Darwin, a well-known Tucson baritone (also known as "Mr. Smoooth") will entertain at the gallery on Saturday evening with light jazz and pop.

The Arizona Democratic Progressive Caucus has a dynamic hospitality team on-the-ground working to arrange in-home hospitality for those who would prefer to stay in someone's home instead of a hotel. Let us know if you would like for us to arrange housing for you while you're here!

We'll see you in the warm February Arizona sunshine! (I say that with a smile on my face since it's pouring rain as I'm writing this! But... we'll keep our fingers crossed for some of our wonderful chamber-of-commerce Arizona weather!)
