Progressive Democrats of America is proud to be a sponsor and participant of DemocracyFest 2006. This year's event is being held at San Diego State University in San Diego, CA July 14-16, 2006 and we invite you to join us, and thousands of progressive activists from across the country and abroad, as we converge for a weekend of education by day and celebration by night!
Join us on Friday when as we join other progressive grassroots activists, organizers and leaders during the "Grassroots Leadership Summit." During the day we will be sharing best practices with one another in a collaborative effort geared towards finding ways that we can work more effectively together. Friday evening is filled with fun and will offer plenty of entertainment for all. Saturday will follow with a jam-packed schedule of panels and speakers and we are pleased announce that PDA will be participating directly in the "Universal Health Care/Making it Happen" panel scheduled during the afternoon. Saturday's "Blowout" evening at the Open-Air Theatre features the musical talent of Gary Hoey, keynote speaker DNC Chair Howard Dean and a wide variety of special guests. And finally, we are excited to be able to moderate the Sunday Root Camp "Fusion" session. During this session we will be sharing PDA's experiences of the successful "fusing" of different groups and their precinct work at the local level. We will leave this session with the tools and resources we need to continue "fusing" during 2006 and beyond.
