Take Back America Conference Takes On a PDA Flavor

PDA National Board Members including Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Steve Cobble, Rep. John Conyers, State Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee and U.S. Rep. Lynn Woolsey will take the stage at the annual Take Back America Conference. Sponsored by the Campaign for America's Future, the Conference will bring together thousands of progressive activists, thinkers and leaders to discuss the ideas, hone the message, train the organizers, and build the infrastructure progressives need to win in 2006 and beyond to the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC June 12--14.

"The Rev" will drive discussion on "Katrina: America's Test." Steve Cobble will join Rep. Conyers on the panel: "Eruptions: Challenging a Lawless President." One of the Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Woolsey will participate in the discussion of "Eruptions: The Public Moves Against the War." The other CPC Co-Chair Barbara Lee will anchor the panel: "Common Sense on Security."

PDA leaders including National Executive Director Tim Carpenter, Deputy Director Kevin Spidel, National Board Vice Chair Steve Shaff, National Board Members Joe Libertelli and David Swanson, and Staff member Mike Hersh will also participate in the events. PDA members from DC, Virginia, Maryland and across the US will join in, meeting Congressional, grass roots, media, organizational and other leaders and friends at the PDA table.
