PDA NY chapters are involved with two upcoming meetings. Mark your calendars and join us:
1. Meeting and Discussion
April 23, 6:30 pm,
The Church Of Holy Trinity, Draesel Hall, 3
16 East 88th St (between 1st and 2nd Aves)
New York, NY
Guest Speaker: Dan Jacoby of Citizen Action New York and Democracy for NYC.
Organized by PDA NY CD14 Chapter, the agenda includes:
Clean Money Clean Elections: Also known as Full Campaign Public Financing, this is one of the most progressive and achievable reforms that can happen in New York State. Come learn about what this means for getting big money out of state politics and how the outcome of a few State Senate races this year could make a huge difference in making this reform possible.
Congressional Races: There are no less than SIX Congressional Races in New York that could become very competitive and could end up boosting significantly the number of Democrats and Progressives in the House of Representatives. We'll look at and discuss the issues and campaigns in those races.
Impeachment, Iraq War Funding: Updates on local actions
All PDA New York City metro area activists are invited to attend.
2. "Cost of Iraq" Town Hall Meeting
April 27, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
