PDA Is Excited to Endorse Rep. Diane Watson

Rep. Diane Watson
Rep. Diane Watson

PDA Board Member Diane E. Watson, Representative of California’s 33rd District, has been a steady and unflagging opponent of the occupation of Iraq. She stood strong with Rep. Jack Murtha when he came under attack for demanding a withdrawal of troops from that country. Rep. Watson has been fighting for lobbying reform in the wake of the Abramoff scandal, and has been standing against the Bush administration's tax cuts for the wealthy. She has also been a strong advocate against the conglomeration of major news media outlets, and has worked for a reintroduction of the Fairness Doctrine. PDA is honored to endorse her in the upcoming midterm elections.

Representative Watson has assembled a long and impressive resume in her political career starting as the first African-American woman to be elected to the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education. She is a recognized advocate for health care, consumer protection, women, and children. To learn more about Representative Watson please visit: http://www.house.gov/watson/
