Barack Obama’s coat tails were large enough to carry a number of Democrats into the House and Senate, increasing the party’s majority in both chambers. North Carolina is still close too close to call, some precincts, particularly in western states, are still reporting results, and in Minnesota, Al Franken has called for a recount.
Of the PDA-endorsed Healthcare NOT Warfare candidates, Donna Edwards cruised to an easy victory in Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District. In a turn about, Eric Massa in New York’s 29th CD, beat Randy Kuhl by two points after losing to Kuhl by two points in the 2006 election.
