Join Progressive Democrats of America this weekend and Monday making phone calls with to voters in Georgia to encourage them to vote Tuesday for Regina Thomas. She is strong on the issues that matter most to us including--bringing our troops home, single payer healthcare, quality education for all, and ending outsourcing of jobs.
Regina is running for a hotly-contested seat in Georgia's 12th Congressional District which encompasses Savannah in Chatham County along with 21 other counties northwards to Augusta. Regina is currently the State Senator for her home town of Savannah and has represented this district very ably for 12 years.
More importantly she is running against incumbent Congressman John Barrows who consistently votes with President Bush. Barrows is a Blue Dog Democrat who voted to give Bush $163 billion more to occupy Iraq. Then he voted to give the President unlimited power to wiretap American citizens. The 12th Congressional District is 45 percent African-American but has a right wing representative who acts like a Southern Republican! Help us change this on Tuesday. Help Regina Thomas win!
Georgia's primary is this Tuesday, July 15, so there is no time to spare. Regina needs the help of PDA members like you to inspire voters to go to the polls on her behalf. We don't have the time to formally endorse her, but Regina has endorsed the full PDA platform.
If you can take 20 to 50 names, we will provide you will a call list of likely Democrats who we hope you will turn out to vote for Senator Thomas. If you live in or near the 12th District, please download, print and hand out this flyer in the District.
