PDA FL CD24 Endorses Clint Curtis

Clint believes that the nation deserves a Congressman willing to work for a prosperous economy, for you to feel secure at home and for America to be respected abroad. He is committed to work to keep jobs in America by requiring balanced trade, to revitalize NASA and return America to a position of strength both militarily and scientifically, to bring our troops home from Iraq to protect our borders, to provide universal health care for all Americans, to protect Social Security, and to achieve energy independence now and reduce fuel costs by 70%. These are among the reasons PDA FL's 24th CD chapter endorsed Clint Curtis for Congress.

Besides holding progressive positions on a host of issues, Clint Curtis has been an activist and leader on the issue of election integrity. He testified before Conyers' Commission in Ohio on how the voting machines could be hacked and about actual attempts to do so. He helped start the push to restore fair and transparent elections.

In 2006 he ran for and won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Congress in FL-24. Through polling and post-election canvassing, he demonstrated that the machine counts could not be trusted. With his leadership and the work of election integrity organizations around the country, Florida was forced to go to paper ballots. Because of his knowledge of computerized voting Curtis has consulted on several of the Election Integrity bills presently before Congress. Because of his groundbreaking work in coalition with election protection activists, election integrity groups from across the country will be invited to help design and prove the best method of performing audits on the paper ballots.
