PDA IL 14th District Chapter endorses John Laesch

December 22, 2007, Elgin, IL

The Progressive Democrats of America's 14th District Chapter held its first ever Chapter Endorsement Meeting, Sunday evening, December 16, at Nick's Pizza in Elgin, IL.

The Chapter unanimously voted to endorse John Laesch, U.S. Navy veteran, union carpenter, and progressive Democrat running for Congress in the 14th District. Laesch is the only Democrat in the 14th District to take the Progressive Challenge, not only this year, but also in 2006 as well, when John ran against Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert and garnered 40% of the vote running a truly grassroots campaign.

Laesch plans to work hard in 2008 to further advance the progressive movement in the 14th District and in our nation. Ending the war and redirecting funding toward our social needs here at home, a single-payer national health care for all system, and economic justice issues are the heart of Laesch's progressive campaign.
