Kucinich Files Impeachment Articles Against George Bush
June 10, 2008, Washington, DC
Last night on the floor of the House, Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio introduced Articles of Impeachment against President George Bush. On the heels of the Senate Intelligence Committee's report, which confirmed that Americans were led into a war based on lies, Kucinich read into the congressional record thirty-five articles of impeachable offenses.
The articles cover a wide range of offenses—the mishandling of the war, torture, extraordinary rendition, imprisoning children, tampering with elections, illegal spying on Americans, misuse of signing statements, etc.—read them

Kucinich introduced articles of Impeachment against Vice President Richard Cheney in November of last year. The Constitution and the rule of law demand that this president and Vice President be impeached.
Speaker Pelosi has abandoned her duty by taking “impeachment off the table” in order to ensure Democratic victories in November. While the Judiciary Committee has nibbled around the edges of impeachment—it is currently conducting hearings on the “outing” of CIA operative Valerie Plame—Committee Chairman John Conyers has refused to bring impeachment forward because of lack of support among members of Congress.
Rep. Kucinich appears to be the only member of Congress willing to stand up to protect and defend the Constitution--e is the only sponsor of both bills. Call Rep. Kucinich and thank him: (202) 225-5871. Then call your member of Congress at the Capital Switchboard ((202) 224-3121) and ask him/her to co-sponsor the Articles of Impeachment against President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
